My Bio
I’m Melissa Clifford, a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.
My curiosity for discovering the “why?” behind people’s health challenges has drawn me to this field of medicine and I’ve been passionate about it ever since!
Before I graduated from the 4-year medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, I received my Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from Loughborough University in the UK, and a Bachelors of Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto. As you can see, I am passionate about all things related to health and physical wellbeing and I love to learn and stay on top of the latest research in the field.
Throughout my career, I have had incredible opportunities to volunteer with various organizations around the world. These experiences have taught me the profound impact that simple lifestyle changes and health education can have on someone’s quality of life. Some of the organizations I have worked with include Mama Baby Haiti, Naturopaths without Borders, Naturopathic Medicine for Global Health in Guatemala, and Natural Doctors International in Nicaragua.
I have also spent many years as a competitive athlete and coach at the national and international level. This unique perspective has provided me with valuable insights into the needs and goals of both recreational and competitive athletes. Whether you are training for a marathon or simply trying to maintain an active lifestyle, I am here to offer the support and guidance you need to achieve your goals.
When I’m not working with patients or adventuring around you can find me teaching part-time at the Faculty of Health at York University in Toronto and enjoying getting active outdoors with my family.
If you’re ready to make some big changes or just need a little guidance, I’m excited to work with you to help you become healthy and happy. Let’s get started!
